Journal #1

This week in SPED 310 we focused a lot on doctrines, principles, and applications. We had the opportunity to read four talks and map out the doctrines, principles, and applications for each.
(The talks we got to read were Doctrine of Inclusion, The Moving of the Water, Concern for the One, and Drenched in Gratitude: Protection from Spiritual Entitlement)

From these talks, I really learned a lot about loving everyone. I think that ultimately, we as human beings have similar feelings, purpose, wants, and needs. We are all more alike than we realize!

I also got to look at an educational philosophy statement that I wrote a few semesters ago. It was amazing to me how much I have changed in such a short time. My outlook on teaching has not necessarily changed, but it has grown more complex and specific with things that I learn and with experiences that I have had. Knowledge is power, and it can truly change us.
